Steamed Pears

Ingredients

400 grams of Lychees in syrup

400 grams of Golden kiwis

200 grams of Cantaloupe melon

4 Pears

3 tablespoons of Sugar

75 milliliters of Water

2 Cinnamon sticks

Preparation

Step 1 : Drain and rinse the lychees, then cut them into 0.5 cm slices and set aside.

Step 2 : Peel the melon, remove the seeds, and cut into 2 cm pieces.

Step 3 : Set aside.

Step 4 : Place the lychees and melon in a bowl, cover, and refrigerate.

Step 5 : Peel the pears and cut them in half lengthwise, carefully removing the seeds.

Step 6 : Put the sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, and the pears in a bowl.

Step 7 : Place the bowl inside a pot with water and cook the pears in a double boiler, covering the pot.

Step 8 : Allow to cook at low heat for 30 minutes or until the pears are tender.

Step 9 : Once tender, remove the pears and arrange them side by side on a serving dish, set aside.

Step 10 : Pour the cooking liquid into a saucepan, add the cinnamon sticks, and bring to a boil.

Step 11 : Let it reduce, stirring occasionally.

Step 12 : When the syrup forms, remove from heat, strain, and pour over the pears.

Step 13 : Serve the pears with the previously reserved fruit salad.
