Ingredients

4 Ripe but firm bananas

125 grams of Pastry flour

30 grams of Butter, melted

35 grams of Sugar

1 pinch of Salt

150 milliliters of Sparkling water

1 teaspoon of Chinese five-spice powder

Vegetable oil

Ice cream

Preparation

Step 1 : In a bowl, mix the flour with half of the cold water until you get a smooth batter.

Step 2 : Then add the melted butter.

Step 3 : Incorporate the sugar and spices until well combined.

Step 4 : Next, add the rest of the water.

Step 5 : Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.

Step 6 : Make three horizontal cuts on each half.

Step 7 : Dip each slice into the batter to coat well, then fry in a skillet with hot oil until golden.

Step 8 : Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 9 : Finally, drizzle some ginger syrup or honey on top and serve with ginger ice cream.
