Ingredients

6 Eggs

125 grams of Soy sauce

2 Star anise

2 tablespoons of Black tea

1 Cinnamon stick

1 Orange

1 tablespoon of Sichuan peppercorns

1 teaspoon of Dark muscovado sugar

Preparation

Step 1 : First, carefully wash the eggs and place them in a pot with enough water to cover them completely.

Step 2 : Then, bring the water to a boil over medium heat.

Step 3 : Once boiling, wait approximately three minutes, then use a slotted spoon to remove the eggs and place them in a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process and facilitate cooling.

Step 4 : Carefully, gently tap each egg with the edge of a spoon to create small cracks in the shell without breaking it completely.

Step 5 : Next, return the eggs to the pot with the original water, adding soy sauce, black tea, spices, orange peel, and sugar.

Step 6 : Continue boiling over low heat for about 50 minutes.

Step 7 : After this process, let the eggs rest in the liquid, covered, overnight.

Step 8 : This step allows the eggs to absorb all the flavors and form the characteristic marbled pattern.

Step 9 : The next day, carefully remove the eggs, peel off the shells, and serve them sliced or whole to enjoy their delicious flavor and beautiful design.
